Most of the Island is covered with greenery. It has old houses and a picturesque chapel.
There is a church which is at the entrance of the Island.

On the St. Jacinto Island, you can also find a well-preserved old
Portuguese lighthouse, from the top of which you can enjoy the breathtakingly
beautiful views onto the Indian Ocean and the Goa coast.

There is an amazing bar and restaurant too here; named Bridge and Tunnel
Bar and Restaurant. The food there is very tasty. They catch fresh fish from the water around and serve it to their customers.

The Island also has a cemetery that was recently re-done.

At low tide along the Chicalim coastline,
further up the road towards Vasco from Sao Jacinto Island is a tiny islet with
a crucifix on it, locally called San Antonio.
